Gipsies' Dance at Pensiunea Valea Mare

 

       Traditions around the Orthodox Eastern - and especially the Eastern Night - in a traditional Vallahian village is worth attending. And then the traditional Easter Dinner at right after mid-night.

       Moreover, in Câmpulung Muscel, due to its traditions, one can attend once the Orthodox and then the Catholic Eastern - the German population of Transylvania, that founded the city, was nearly always Catholic.

Day 1, Friday: Pick-up from Bucharest and transfer to Valea Mare-Pravăţ. Visit en-route one of the former Capital Cities of Valahia, Târgovişte. Accommodation and dinner: Pensiunea Valea Mare in Valea Mare-Pravăţ.

Day 2, Saturday: Breakfast and spare time during the morning. During the afternoon, we shall visit Câmpulung, a former commercial colony of the Transylvanian Saxons and the first Vallahian Capital. In the evening, we shall attend the Orthodox or Catholic Easter Ceremony in Câmpulung (they are usually 1-4 weeks apart, if it occurs, that they are at the same time, we can watch both). At Orthodox Eastern, we shall go upon interest at the Nămăiești Nunnery, the monastery that has one of the icons of Virgin Mary painted by the Apostle Lucas and left here. Upon return to our B&B, we shall have a traditional Eastern Dinner. Accommodation and dinner: Pensiunea Valea Mare in Valea Mare-Pravăţ.

Day 3, Sunday: After breakfast, we shall visit the nearby Monastery Nămăieşti, with its church carved in stone. Upon return to our B&B, we shall have the opportunity to discover the ever nice hilly landscape of the area. Accommodation and dinner: Pensiunea Valea Mare in Valea Mare-Pravăţ.

Day 4, Monday: After breakfast, we shall check out and return to Bucharest with a special sightseeing tour of the Romanian Capital. Our tour draws to an end and time comes to say good-bye.
